Rebuilding a Broken Bust - George Washington
Heritage repairs and refinishes a shattered bust of the founding father of the United States, George Washington. Each of the broken parts was carefully reassembled to form a complete whole.

Heritage Restoration recently completed the repair of a damaged plaster bust of George Washington. The sculpture had sustained significant damage in an accident, with half of the face—including the nose and left eye—fragmented into over two dozen pieces.
Our restoration team carefully reassembled the broken components using conservation-grade adhesives and sealing compounds. Once cured, the repaired areas were sanded smooth to blend seamlessly with the original surfaces.
To complete the process, the entire bust was primed and color-matched to ensure a uniform finish. The result is a fully restored and stabilized sculpture, preserving both its structural integrity and historical appearance.
