Prompt Succor - Sulphur, Louisiana

Heritage Restoration and Design Studio's first interaction with Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church was when they became the unfortunate victims of a series of vandalisms. Through the restoration of these destroyed artifacts, Heritage was asked to design a series of church furnishings to better utilize the existing space. The furnishings design had to incorporate the traditional orders of architecture with influences from local and French traditions of the area.

Heritage Restoration, a multi-generational, family-owned firm with decades of experience in church interior design and craftsmanship, was honored to collaborate with Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur, Louisiana. Known for our comprehensive approach to liturgical artistry and preservation, we were tasked with enhancing the church’s sacred environment through a complete interior transformation.

Our team provided a wide range of services tailored to meet the church’s spiritual and aesthetic vision. This included the installation of new statuary, expert restoration of existing religious figures, and the creation of custom murals and iconography to reflect the church’s rich devotional heritage. Faux finishing techniques were applied throughout the sanctuary sapce to create depth, warmth, and visual harmony across the space.

In addition to the decorative work, Heritage crafted a complete suite of custom church furnishings. This included side altars, a sacrificial altar, and a multi-tiered, French-style high altar as the focal point of the sanctuary. A new communion rail, pulpit, and seating were also designed and installed to complete the liturgical ensemble. The result is a reverent, unified worship space that reflects both the tradition and ongoing vitality of the Prompt Succor parish community.
