In Detail

Heritage Restoration & Design Studio recently completed the refinishing of a residential front door that had suffered extensive sun damage. Years of direct exposure to sunlight had bleached the door’s finish and worn down its protective coatings, leaving the wood faded and uneven in appearance.

The door was brought to Heritage’s workshop, where it underwent a full restoration process. The original finish was carefully stripped away to expose the bare wood beneath, allowing our team to address surface blemishes and prepare the door for refinishing. A custom stain was applied to restore the door’s natural warmth and character, followed by several coats of a UV-resistant finish to help protect against future weathering.

Once the refinishing process was complete and the coatings fully cured, the door was returned to the client for reinstallation. The result is a refreshed, professionally restored entrance that enhances the home’s curb appeal while offering improved durability for years to come.
