This springy recliner chair had endured years of regular use, leaving it in a noticeably worn condition. The surface exhibited numerous scratches, dents, and indentations, detracting from its original beauty. The restoration process began with a careful disassembly of the chair, separating its various components to allow for thorough treatment. The wooden elements were stripped of their aged finish using specialized chemical agents designed to preserve the integrity of the wood while effectively removing old coatings. Simultaneously, the metal hardware was subjected to an intensive cleaning regimen to eliminate accumulated rust and corrosion, restoring its functionality and appearance.

Following the cleaning phase, each component was restored as closely as possible to its original state. The parts were then transported to our finishing room, where a fresh application of stains and protective coatings was carefully applied. Multiple layers of finish were added to enhance the chair’s color and increase its resistance to environmental wear and tear. To emphasize the intricate filigree details, our skilled artisans applied darker tones selectively to the recessed areas of the front panels, creating depth and visual interest. Once the refinishing was complete, the chair was meticulously reassembled, ensuring all components fit seamlessly together and functioned properly.
