A Wooden Mary Shrine with Marble Highlights
Heritage recently crafted a custom wooden shrine for a client located out of state. Particular attention was given to the liturgical design to ensure it harmonizes seamlessly with the overall aesthetic of the client’s church.

Further Details
A church in Wisconsin commissioned Heritage to design and construct a shrine dedicated to Mary, the mother of Christ. The project required a design that would complement both the spatial layout and liturgical character of the existing church interior. Our team developed a hybrid design featuring wood and marble, accented with gold-topped columns and a prominent central icon.
Upon approval of the design, we proceeded to precisely cut and shape the wooden components to meet the required specifications. Gray-veined white quartz marble, sourced through our trusted supplier network, was incorporated to form the shrine’s platform and front ornamentation. The wooden elements were assembled and finished in a rich, dark brown stain before integrating the marble inserts.
The finishing detail was a hand-hammered metal icon of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, also sourced through our network of artisans. Upon completion, Heritage’s team delivered and professionally installed the shrine in the client’s church. This new addition will serve to enhance the liturgical significance of the space for generations to come.
