A Letter from the President of Heritage Restoration and Design Studio
Friday afternoon, 3-20-20, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker issued EXECUTIVE ORDER 2020-10 requiring people to shelter in place starting 3-21-20. This order requires all people to stay at home, except for those who are considered essential for the infrastructure workplace of the United States.
Per the US Department of Homeland Security’s Guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce Memorandum issued on March 19th, 2020:
Included are workers who ‘‘conduct a range of operations and services that are essential to continued critical infrastructure viability, including ‘working construction’.’’ Guidance clarifies that all decisions should appropriately balance public safety while ensuring the continued delivery of critical infrastructure services and functions.
The governor’s mandate states that Building and Construction Tradesmen and Tradeswomen, and other trades are allowed to continue operations. We find this critical when incomplete ongoing projects are in a state of potential damage from vandalism, adverse weather conditions and can negatively affect the clients schedule when opening for business after April 7th , the end of the mandate.
Therefore, Heritage Restoration and Design, Inc., will remain open during the COVID-19 Shelter in Place Requirement in Illinois.
Heritage Restoration and Design, Inc. has put protective measures in place for the continued safety of our employees, guest and clients. Our company is committed to keeping our in-house and on-site job conditions safe and virus free. With this reasoning, we have established extra cleaning efforts in our facility. In addition, travel to job sites is cut back to only essential projects where we can have a reasonable assurance that conditions at the locations are acceptable and safe for our employees and our clients. Until further notice, access to our facility is by request only. We have canceled any train, bus and airplane travel for the foreseeable future, until the virus is contained and knowledgeable authorities say that travel is again safe.
Please feel free to contact Heritage Restoration and Design, Inc. if you have questions or concerns.
